After Hours Service.
Gawler GP Inc. is an emergency service and afterhours GP clinic providing after hours care to the community. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours, 7 days a week while GP Clinic is open Monday to Friday between 6pm and 10pm, Saturday midday until 10pm and Sunday and Public Holidays 8am until 10pm. Gawler GP Inc is a private organisation and an account will be rendered for the service provided.
Gawler GP Inc is a private after hours clinic and Accident & Emergency Department. As such a gap fee will be incurred for all doctor consultations. Please visit www.gpinc.org.au for more information on their fees.
Home Visits.
Where safe and reasonable, our practice makes visits to regular practice patients in their homes, within normal working hours. Our practice has decided upon a reasonable distance within which visits can be safely conducted within the Gawler area. Please phone as early as you can in the day to discuss the availability. Sometimes, there can be a considerable delay before the ―on call‖ doctor is available for house calls, if you are able to get someone to bring you into the Clinic you will be taken to a quiet room and seen as a matter of urgency. Some conditions are better treated in the Clinic rather than at home.
Hospital Rounds and Nursing Homes.
Our Doctors visit their patients in the Gawler Health Service between 7.30am and 9am each day. All hostels and nursing homes in the area are visited on a regular basis, and the Clinic provides emergency care for its patients in this accommodation.
